Rice Cooker

I registered for a 3 cup rice cooker because I figure, we only cook a cup of rice at a time and we almost always have leftovers anyway. It boggles my mind that there are all these 10-20 cup rice cookers out there. Who is BUYING these? Hispanic and Indian families of 35 living in the same household?? Or just people who like to cook ahead?

I like our tiny rice cooker because it has a very small footprint and it is a good size for the two of us. Frankly, even if we had a couple of kids or something, I think it would be enough rice for us all.

Here’s the rice cooker I used to cook the eggs. I think they are best when they are just cooked, not actually boiled. It leaves the whites much more tender and the yolks keep their bright yellow color without getting the green tinge around the edges.
